2. For what purpose do we process your data?
We inform you that both the personal data and the information provided to us through the completion of any of the electronic forms available on this website, will be processed in accordance with the following purposes, depending on the section through which data is provided:
a) Should you have given your personal data (First name, Last name and e-mail address) by signing up on this website through the “Welcome to Diversity Collective” section, either as a teacher, as a leader or as a school, the purpose for which we process your data is the management of your registered user account on our website.
b) Once you, either as a teacher or as a leader, have registered as a user on our website, should you have completed your profile by giving response to some questions providing for some sensitive data of yours (gender, ethnicity, and, optionally, your sexual orientation), the purpose for which we process your data is the management of your profile and your participation in the selection process that has motivated you to complete your profile. Under this purpose, we will transfer your personal data to relevant schools, which may be established in third countries, in order to make your profile (as a teacher or leader candidate) visible to them, when your profile match with their needs. The relevant schools shall be registered on this website and shall have made a commitment to diversifying their faculty and leaders.
c) Should you have given your personal data through the “Contact us” section in order to request information about the “Diversity Collective” project or any other question or comment, the purpose for what we process your data is to give a response to your contact request as a website user.
3. Are we legitimated to process your data?
Controller is entitled to each of the above-mentioned purposes by virtue of the following legitimacy bases:
a) For the management of your registered user account → for the performance of the agreement arising out from the registration as a user.
b) For the management of your profile and your participation in the selection process → for the performance of the agreement arising out from the registration as a user.
c) For the management of your profile containing sensitive personal data of yours, provided by you → explicit consent given by the data subject.
d) For the transfers of teacher’s and leader’s personal data to third countries or international organizations → for the performance of the agreement arising out from the data subject registration as a user.
e) For giving a response to your request, question or comment → for the performance of an agreement arising out from the request, question or comment made by the data subject.
In the event that Diversity Collective processes your personal data for a purpose other than that stated in this document, Diversity Collective will inform you prior to processing and provide you with any additional relevant information in accordance with applicable law, and shall request your consent, if applicable, if such consent is necessary to justify lawful processing.
4. For how long will we store your data?
Your personal data will be stored according to the purpose for which it was provided, during the periods listed below:
a) For the management of your registered user account → for the period during which your account as a registered user on our website is active. For that purposes, if your account hasn’t had any activity for a maximum period of two (2), it shall be considered as an inactive account.
b) For the management of your profile and your participation in the selection process → for the period during which your account as a registered user on our website is active. For that purposes, if your account hasn’t had any activity for a maximum period of two (2), it shall be considered as an inactive account.
c) For giving a response to your request, question or comment → for the period strictly necessary to give a response to your request, question or comment.
We also inform you that in addition to the aforementioned periods, we will store your personal data during the mandatory prescription periods in order to comply with our legal obligations, to exercise our legal rights (to exercise or defend, if applicable, a legal claim). In this situation, your personal data will be communicated to the appropriate schools when your profile match with their job offers. Likewise, your personal data shall be transferred to the relevant schools, which may be established in third countries, in order to make your profile (as a teacher or leader candidate) visible to them, when your profile match with their needs. The schools on this site have made a commitment to diversifying their faculty and leaders.
Additionally, we inform you that, in certain cases, we may provide access to your personal data to third parties (Data Processors) which provide us with website maintenance services, as well as services provided by communication, marketing, digital media and social networks agencies, which help us to carry out our services efficiently and within the legal framework.
The processing of personal data by these Data Processors, with whom a contract has been concluded, may be carried out both within and outside the European Union territory. Processing carried out outside the European Union territory is undertaken on the basis of an adequacy decision (third country or international organization guaranteeing an adequate level of protection).
Further, we inform you that this website uses the audience tracking system from Google Analytics (Google LLC.), which may imply the international transfer of personal data that, anyhow, is protected by the formalization of standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
6. Which are your rights as data subject?
Finally, we inform you that you have the right to obtain confirmation as to whether or not Diversity Collective is processing your personal data. At Diversity Collective, we strive to provide a positive experience for all of our users. We understand that situations may arise where you need to cancel your registration on our platform. This policy outlines the terms and conditions for such cancellations.
1. Cancellation of Registration
How to Cancel: If you wish to cancel your registration on the Diversity Fair platform, please submit a cancellation request by contacting us at info@diversityfair.org. Be sure to include your school name and your name for verification.
Refunds:
Within 14 Days of Registration: If you cancel within 14 days of your initial registration or renewal, you are eligible for a full refund of any membership fees, if applicable.
After 14 Days: Cancellations made after 14 days from registration or renewal will not be eligible for a refund. However, your access to the platform will continue until the end of your current billing cycle if you have a paid subscription.
2. No-Refund Policy for Certain Services
For any services already rendered (e.g., participation in specific workshops), refunds will not be provided, regardless of when the cancellation request is made.
3. Account Deactivation
Upon cancellation of your registration, your account will be deactivated. You will lose access to all content, resources, and any ongoing services associated with your account. The Diversity Collective will save the school information for future re-activation as needed.
4. Reactivation of Account
If you wish to reactivate your account after cancellation, you may do so by logging in and making the payment to reactivate your school account. Reactivation is subject to the terms and conditions in place at the time of reactivation, and previous data or content may not be restored.
